From our Congregational President…  

It is my pleasure to personally welcome you to the joy of life at Messiah. Our Congregation is overflowing with God’s love as we serve our community and the world in many ways. We are pleased that you choose to be here and welcome you to attend Sunday and Wednesday worship services; and, the many programs, activities and events for all ages.

Messiah was established on September 19, 1901. The Lord has blessed us with many years and continues to bless us with His love. We are affiliated With Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).

Messiah is committed to helping one another to grow in Christ, and those in need of Biblical, Evangelical, and Mission driven Lutheran Congregation. Our various styles of worship life together are musically rich, intellectually stimulating, and sacramental with Open Holy Communion. 

We are dedicated to teaching all ages the healing of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and how to put our faith into action. Our youth ministries are very engaged in their programs. See directory.

Messiah’s mission statement seeks to be faithful to Jesus Christ and be known for Evangelism and Discipleship in a dynamic and energetic community of believers. To fulfill this mission we are committed to these three goals: 

  1. Encourage each member of Messiah to make full use of his or her Gifts for the Glory of God.

  2. To Expand the Ministry outside the four walls of our church.

  3. To Strengthen and Build Christian Family Values.

We are located at the Corner of Jefferson St. and Houbolt Road in Joliet, Illinois. We invite you to share fellowship of committed Christians working together and helping one another to grow in Christ. We are here to serve you with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite you to find solace for your soul as you worship the Lord Jesus and study God’s Word with us.
